As soon as I got off the train, my whole body was enveloped by the sound of waves and blue.
Here at Aomi River Station, we are the closest station to the Sea of Japan.
Next to the station is a narrow beach for bathing, and the whitecaps of the Sea of Japan almost reach the platform.
The view from the platform, as well as from the top of the cliffs surrounding the station, of the Sea of Japan is exceptional. Although the station is a “0-minute walk to a scenic spot,” it is definitely worth the walk.

No other station is so close to the Sea of Japan.
And this unparalleled sense of openness. Because the path here climbs up parallel to Aomi River Station, there is a rare point where you can look down on the platform and the horizon at the same time from the front.
Selected as one of the 100 best beaches in Japan, the sunset over the Sea of Japan is exceptionally beautiful.
It has been used as a location for TV dramas and movies, and fans can be seen visiting the area.
